Las Meninas, or The Maids of Honor, is an oil on canvas by Diego Velázquez from about 1656, now in the Prado Museum, in Madrid. It includes a self-portrait of the artist at left and a reflection of King Philip IV and Queen Mariana in the mirror at the back of the artist
